Hi fellows, can I ask those who own watches with the new super clone 3 day movement (such as PAM372) to post your observations as to how it has been running for you, especially if you've had it for a few months or so? I remember reading reports that these movements when they come out lost/gained a few mins a day even rafter trying to regulate, due to design of mainspring etc. will be curious to see what the owners say after a few months if usage, is this or any other problems still persist? How did you managed to fix them if they did? Was it serviceable by local watchmakers? Etc.

Thanks!

Hi. I think your request is a bit premature to give review of several months of usage since the super clones (372, 448, 449) are pretry much new release.
I am aware that there are reports where the movement is not reliable but my 448 seems to be working perfectly fine. (I've had it for roughly 2 weeks so I can't be of reliable opinion ;-))
Mine seems to run for about 5 days fully wound and hasn't lost a minute yet. Bang on time; in sync with my computer clock.
I guess it either hit or miss. Hope the factory can do something about the reliability issue.

Sorry, this movement id not even a true Clone, why are you always calling it SUPER Clone ??
Clone is enough and even generous

I have edited the original title

It is maybe a bit early but, anyway, this is an interesting matter to be discussed

True Ale, it should be just 'Clone' but we all hope they come out with Super version soon ;-)

Whatever the title is, I call it what the dealers call so folks can connect two and two. Back to my question: how is the performance of that thing? Don't want to see coloured lines or angled figures, just a word or two of the feedback will do.

Hey, I wanted to be useful, please don't be a bit rude
Are you being sarcastic with the coloured lines?

I can't speak for longevity, but I did a timing test on my 372 when I received it, and it ran for just over 7 days and lost 90 secs in total over the duration.

Easy Ale, I don't think he was either being rude or sarcastic. ;-)
There are people like me who's not good at digesting data/spread sheets but comfortable with literal descriptions.
I think he just wanted to hear simple opinions.

I am interested in your question too. Just 9 months ago, I had an exchange with a long time member where I said "We can't be that far off of rep'd in-house movements" and I was told...."Sir, pigs will fly before in-house gets rep'd" Right after that the 372 "Super Clone" was released. Since then I have been waiting for the truth to come out about these movements, good or bad.

I also get where Ale is coming from. This watch is no "Super Clone" and doesn't deserve the title. Regardless, your comment above seemed a little superfluous

I have had a 448 for about a month or slightly over and over that time I have tested the run time a couple of times and it ran for 6 and a half days the first time and 6 days 6 hours the second.

On time keeping accuracy it gains about 2 mins over the week. I will pay closer attention now and retest both run duration and accuracy and report back....in 6.5 days.

I love my super clone 372 first week it was +1 to 2 minutes but after 5 wears in rotation with my other watches it's close to accurate I've had mine since it was released and it's pretty darn good now I ordered the 449 super clone and I hope it's he same

I'm in love with the super clone there are no other words to describe it but super wink wink

Thanks guys, keep them coming. So far, it appears that the PR on the full wind lasts about 5-6 days, and while it takes a few weeks to stabilise, most reported some 2 min/week loss or gain...which I suppose is acceptable for a replica.

please share pics when you receive your 449!! :) really want to see the quality/finish of it before ordering one myself, particularly the RP engraving and the depth of the dial cutouts
