Panerai Box Set?

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone here has experience with a rep pear wood box set for Panerai; is the look and quality of the box close to accurate? I would prefer to buy a gen box but they are going for as much as a PAM111 N V3! I'd rather allocate that money for a PAM243.

I have a gen Rolex box set and the rep version I've seen online is nowhere close in terms of quality. Even if you've never seen a Rolex box in your life you'd know the rep box was fake just based off of the poor construction quality.

Quality is good - but they ARE different from the gen boxes.

I have another one for sale - havent had a chance to list it yet on the forum but it is just like the last two that I sold.

Rep box is crap, sorry. Not even close to the real thing and looks and feels plasticky. The plaque inside is incorrect, the velvet insert is a dust magnet, has a nasty synthetic fee to it...the pillow has some weird padding that don't keep shape...basically, if you after any degree of accuracy or quality, avoid.

If I were you I'd not waste my money on a rep box but get this instead

Get a four or more watch box and you can keep many watches together in a great quality box at a good price (this is what most gen collectors do anyways as mountains of boxes take up waaaayyyyy to much space)

It would seem like the rep box would be easy to manufacturer close to gen but its way off. Not even the right box version for the modern luminor models.
