A VSF version would be much appreciated.

Only drawback is the case size is only 42 mm and strap width 22 mm

Looks like the new PAM subs are going to a smaller case size of 42 mm, is this the new trend for PAM's subs.

a quick search on a td site or this forum will tell you, nearly all 42mm Pam subs have been repped. Apart from those released this year. This includes, both steel and carbon versions.

Let's hope the Panerai Bianco Sub PAM 1223 gets repped in 2022 as I would be in for one as I have the perfect 22 mm strap for it.

Yes, of course. But only if it looks smaller it does not also look more "filigree" because some of these models are rather thick in relation to the size.

Some time ago I had the 42mm Sub 683. With more than 16mm thickness this was a very chunky watch ...



Even more chunky is the 243 which is only 44mm in diameter but 19mm thick ..




In comparison to these two "small" Submersibles the 47mm 692 look quite "harmonic" ...



Although it is also more than 16mm thick. But here the thickness looks different because it distributes over a much larger body.

I'll let you be the judge; here are three different sizes of the 1950 case, starting from the bottom, the 42mm 1223, a 44mm 233, a 44mm 243, and a 47mm 389.
