Ive got a panerai submersible I’m thinking about ageing. The look I’m going for is that of a watch recovered from the depths of the ocean. I’ve read about those giving their bronzos a patina, but the submersible I have is titanium material. Any advice on beating it up appreciated!

As the titanium on PAM submersibles are advertised to be corrosion resistant (although not proof), I don't think there are any ways to make it look like it was recovered from the depths of the ocean. Pure titanium has been submerged in sea water for three years and came out relatively unscathed by the immersion. Also titanium is very durable so you could scratch it but not much else. But I would suggest asking in the Vintage watches section. There are members with vastly more experience who might be able to help you.

mysterio thank you. Yeah I was just reading up on how tough this material is. I’m thinking I’ll just mod the dial which is much easier to work with instead of the titanium case...
thanks!
