Hi mates,
i would like to buy a Pam 183, but i was told be my TD this model is out of stock and he does not know, if it will be restocked?

Do the factories work on a upgraded version and therfore the old versions are not produced anymore?
Would be great if somebody could share his knowledge.

I cannot answer your question but what about taking PAM 380? In my opinion the much nicer model with second-hand@9 and super rep status. It's like a better developed 183..

The old version becomes out of stock because it is simply sold out and the TDs cannot get anymore from the factories. Sometimes the factories come out with a new version, and even in quick succession (V1, then V2, then V3) but these are usually for newly released and popular PAMs. The PAM183, though a nice watch especially the G series, is an old model, so most likely your best bet at getting one is through M2M (member to member) sales.

I considered the 380, but I love the sandwitch dial and the open back of the 183 to much!


thats a pity.... But the factories make so many models. I can't believe they don't produce a classic standart like the Pam 183...
but anyway. A Memeber to Member sale is a great option.

It never was a super rep to begin with. It is a very good rep, top of the line first class bordering on super rep. Close but no cigar.

I'd recommend you look through the ultimate PAM guide linked below. It is very thorough and discuss the version and factories so you know how close to gen you are getting. I know ale7575 has chimed in above already, but the guide he wrote is beyond compare. A PAM346 is 45 mm and some versions are considered super reps. Again, the TD may not be able to source it, you'll have to ask.
