hey guys,

I recently bought my first pam, its 111h from Angus. When I wind it, like 5-6 times, I can feel something clicking, and limiting the winding. I am assuming this is the limiter?

If so, I should be able to wind more than 5-6 times no? Watch moves fine but it seems to have a short life in terms of power.

Also I dont really feel any resistance compared to my lemania movement. Should I keep winding ?

had a similar problem with mine.
one of the bridge screws near the crown was loose.
tightened it and voila!

no need to take the CG and crown off.
just remove the caseback and check to see if it is loose.

I don't own a 17J but how many times should one expect to wind for a full charge? About how long should that last?

Whoa! It has been my experience that you should only turn the set lever screw out about 1.25 times to release the winding stem. If you turn it more than that you run the risk of completely removing the set lever screw and then removal of the dial and hands is necessary to reinstall it.

Thanks guys, I can see through the glass, and that screw does look loose. It is going to be challenging to unscrew the back. Did you guys buy a tool to take this off?

I guess each one has own experiences. It usually takes me 2 turns to loosen the set lever screw when it's completely tight. If anyone is attempting to do this and cannot replace the set lever if it is dislodged, then they really have no sane reason to be attempting any of it in the first place.

Send it to the dealer or a watchsmith.

On Panerai I just use a rubber ball to take the back off.

I ordered one of those yellow ball off ebay. I cant wait till I get in there.
Also thinking about getting some straps, what size should i get for 111h? 24mm or 26mm?
I measured it and its about 25mm

Thats whats great about this place. Helpful people.

To remove my casebacks, I made a ball of duct tape (sticky side facing out) and this works like a charm. There is a rubber seal that you need to be sure you put back in the little groove.

could not wait for the yellow ball. ball of duct tape worked, and now my pam is fixed!

Out of all my reps, I love my pam the most... Anyone know what the difference is between 111h and 111e?

and is it worth getting it in swiss ETA?

I am glad you fixed it with the ole ball of duct tape trick. Well done

The 111 H is the version with a painted dial, and the E has a sandwich dial. Of couse Swiss ETA is always best.
