What are the differences between the Panerai 111H vs. 111E?

What are the advantages and disadvantages? and which one do you prefer?

Thanks!

thank you for your reply.

What is a "QC"? Also, do you own one of these? If so where did you get yours from or recommend me to get from?

thanks

The 111h is a sandwich dial whereas the e is a sausage dial. I prefer the look of the h sandwich dial personally. However, with all 111's the dial fonts are off, crown's and crown guards are slightly off. hey are very minimal flaws though, and on the wrist it is a handsome looking watch.

QC means quality control.pick any dealer here at RWI and ask for qc.do ask for your receiving watch picture before you follow through with the transaction.yes i own the 111h and proud of it! trusty's have one and for the e series i got a 1950 but returned it back to my local dealer cuz sloppy paint, wrong crown guard, bad strap etc.so in the end,QC determines a good rep or not cuz even gens have sometimes QC probs

Hi,

I'll like to try and provide some help

First the dial,

- Sandwiched dial on 111H and sausage dial on 111E
- Font size (bigger on 111H)
- Brushed CG on 111H and polished on 111E
- ARed Crystal on 111H and non ARed crsytal on 111E

The sausage dial looks better and always get my vote. The main disadvantage on a 111H is the "L swiss made L" font, size and its spacing on the dial which incorrect.

Secondly, the movement

The E series movement looks better than H movement IMO but they are hardly available.

Both swiss and asian movement are available for both 111H and 111E. Beware as some version comes with swan neck regulator and some without. Both swiss and asian movement are reliable IMO. The prices for the movement varies as well.

-111H movement without swan neck and comes with stickers "Officine Panerai" text are asian movement and the cheapest. Probably best for entry level newbies.
- 111H movement with "needle" swan neck and comes with stickers "Officine Panerai" text are available in both swiss and asian movement. Price will be higher
- 111H movement with "dagger" swan neck and comes with engraved "Officine Panerai" text are also available in both swiss and asian movement. This is the version which are closest to the gen and the most expensive. DSN's H series PAMs are offering this version with swiss movement. These movement sell like hot cakes so get it while still available

Hope my info helps :D
