Panerai 111 grinding noise

Hi all,

So got up to wind and set my pam 111n noob today... Usually its silent and smooth... But today it sounded like something was grinding when I was setting the time? Any ideas?
Winding was ok same as normal...


Seems to be keeping time ok....

The keyless works is slipping or something is not engaging, disengaging. Youll have to take the keyless apart. The movement you have is super easy to work on.

Oops just read it again if its grinding while setting time then could be something internally with the movement maybe its time of a service.

Had this happen to two of my pams, in my case it was crown teeth grinding against crownguard. Just took the caseback off and realigned te movement so the stem is perfectly centered.
