LOL! That will be long way to go. Even if one can afford it, at such price point, it is hard to justify spending almost 200 grand.

Now top my list will be an IWC 7 days and that Lange Zeitwerk,.... Maybe in between I will get the Dornblueth watch.

Well, let's look at this another way:

Average price of a 111 - $3500; average price of a 111 rep - $250? So, that's ~7% the cost of the real one.

So, 7% of this $200K watch would be ~$1400. VDB sells his Cortebert powered "vintage" Rads for ~$3K (depending on the configuration). That's not even considering that the 021 is Platinum vs the SS case of the rep.

You could spin this as a bargain, depending on how you work the numbers. :cool2:

All I know is that if I had $200K to spend on a watch, I'd buy that 021 before I bought any $200K Patek or Vacheron. Actually, if I had $200K to spend on watches, I'd buy a 202/A and a 207/A, but that's another discussion for another thread.

That's why they make more than 1 flavor of ice cream, I reckon.

That would have been a better buy or not ? 1/1 piece... OR if you have the money to burn, there will be an auction soon by IWC, all proceed goes to charity. 1/1 Platinum Big Pilot St Exupery which I think would have been a better choice than this watch and it would probably end up half of this price.

I will do a face to face deal and doing bank transfer... That guy probably has some assets in Fort Knox.
