Pam799 suitable donor for Pam979?

Ciao Paneristi,

My long dead pam979 that was destroyed by seawater may have a chance of revival.

I’m in need of a Datewheel and Movement. A TD owes me a watch and has a Pam799.

Can a p9100 movement work for my 979 which was a p9000?

Also, is the 799 datewheel the same black background as the 979? From images it looks the same but wondered if someone had both watch and could compare.

Just an FYI, I wouldn't use the 799 as a donor for the 979.. IMHO the 799 is better. #SaveThe799
