is the sunburst dial effect well replicated?
i bought the VSF v1 last year after all the hype how good of replica it was and there was NO sunburst dial effect so i sold it. really hoping that v2 has the sunburst effect. Anyone that has the latest version and can post a photo of the dial?
I will receive one soon and I will report how it compare to gen and older version. Hope the sunburst dial is well reproduced.
oh nice. You have the gen too?
On the VSF version, can you “park” the gmt hand the same way you can on the gen? It looks like it on the pics in the op but who knows.
I have V2 or as some dealers call it V2.5 (thinner lugs as initially V2 were sold in wrong case) and I can definitely see sun burst effect even at home and definitely there is effect visible in the sun.
I can definitely say that the colour of the gen dial is more turquoise than in rep and hands even though called rose gold look more yellow gold in gen.
I still enjoy mine as it runs within a second or two a day which is master chronometer accuracy, but find myself looking to get a gen blue Pam (unfortunately 688 sells for more than $13k these days).
There is a new model I’m thinking to get 1033 and another one 1058. It’s the same money as 1312 or 1320.All blue dialed Pams are up there in price, aren't they? Are there any Panerai with a blue (or even grey) sunburst dial model that are near the low end of the Panerai price spectrum? Say between $5-8k.
hi peeps.. so any update whether the pam 688 has the "starlight" effect as per gen?
