Hello all,
I have unfortunately been dealing with quite the saga with my ZF PAM685. In a nutshell, the watch ran great for about a week after I received it and then I noticed it was gaining time every day, like a lot of time, up to 5 minutes. I sent it out to oascom who performed a full service in December and mentioned there was a cracked jewel that he could not repair and advised to change the movement when it would no longer function properly. It was running perfectly when it came back and I considered selling it at this point to recoup some loss but then something crazy happened. The watch started gaining almost 15 minutes per day, which is pure insanity. I then tested the watch to see if it was magnetized, (it was) and every time I use the demagnetizer, the watch becomes re-magnetized soon again thereafter.
My question is does anyone know where I can get a replacement p3000 movement or is there another type of hand wound movement I can use that will fit properly inside of this case? I’d really like to figure out a way to save this piece.
