No matter how rude it may sound, in relation to their attempts, but in the current situation, I treat this approximately the same way.

I think it will be nice to see that someone is ready to make titanium 47mm cases, but if they combine all their shortcomings from PAM779 (Similar to Ti + Dlc and California dial) and disadvantages of 47mm models (PAM605/PAM604/PAM605/PAM1080), it will be fun.

It should be noted that solid caseback and domed crystal (in accordance with the shape of their previous releases) will be a head start.

However, given that the best 47mm black luminors are at best half decent from all the factories that have made it before, I would be surprised if the HWF performs better.

According to this dealer, the case is steel with DLC, although it should be titanium.
But in fact, this "intermediate HWF case" just doesn't fit badly under OP.7007, which is used only for PAM629 and PAM617, which do not have a side edge, like PAM372 and similar. At that time, lugs still need to be thinner .
Also, note that there is no R XXX/300 on caseback.

What do you think of the distortion of the xtal? In most of the pics it looks fine but some really bend the rail.

To be honest, I try not to think at all about the distortion of the crystal. This is a very relative concept. But in general, for later models with such a crystal, distortion is usually minimal, it’s still not PAM127 from 2002. I don't know what HWF will show here, but I think that the crystals of PAM605, PAM606, PAM673, PAM1080 and this PAM629 HWF should be the same. The best info with pictures on this is in JayBee0815 reviewon PAM1080:

https://forum.replica-watch.info/forum/panerai/10659211-hwf-1080-review-slim-fiddy -pic-heavy

and I think that's all you need to see to decide if it's right for you or not.
So far I see that the distortion is minimal.

Oh, by the way, the model in question is already on sale on Trusty and listed as DLC steel instead of titanium. Considering that the color as on PAM779 from HWF is not gray, but completely black, in general, the result is not very good.
