Pam508 crystal reflections

Hi, last week I received my 508 and it is a very beautiful watch. And it came together with my 569.
But the 508 has some reflections that are making me dislike it a bit.
It seems that the reflections from the inside of the crystal make the whole dial blurry, and not clear black as other Pams that I have. The lights come from one direction and the same light appears from the other direction of the crystal, but from the inside and showing a bigger reflection.
It is the KW V6 version, same as the 569 but the crystal are very different.
Please check some pictures below and see if it's normal for this watch.

Yes it is. AR coating on some PAMs is extremely crappy and 508 is no exception. I can't even take a proper photo of my 438 because of this phenomena. It's because they have AR only on the inside. But it's the same on gen,so it's in the best interest of accuracy I hate it,because I can't see the dial most of the time and it's making me nervous and it looks cheap too..

A big question for me on Pams... The AR on gen is globally the same, should we do something nicer for our eyes or keep it like it is ? In my case I decided to keep it as it is to be more like the gen and play a little with the light makes the view of the watch different. But it would clearly be nicer with a 2x AR

I had the same questioning but I have seen gen owners having there pam ARed, so I will go with my taste on this one...

planing to have them all ARed besides plexi obviously...

Yes Pams are all ar'ed only at the inside of the crystal. But some (as 508) shows the same light 2 times, and others show just one time, making the dial more "readable".
If you take a 388, 505 or even a 292, you will see the light passing trough the crystal, and if you do the same with the 508, you will see the light passing trough and the same light reflecting coming from the oposite side of the glass.
Maybe this happens due to the thickness of the crystal, but I doubt that, because this same thing doesn't happens on my 569.

Below I show you some pics of the reflection of my 292 so you can check that only one light appears on crystal.

PS.: I have a 088 double ar'red from both sides and id shows the two lights as the 508, but in yellow (the color of that AR), so I believe that it has to be with another thing I still don't know.

In this pic below you can ser that the crystal reflects only one time the image and still be able to see the dial, and in the 508 the image kind of duplicate showing the same image but in oposite side.

If I make a video I'm sure I can show this better. When I get home I'll do it and I guess it will be easier to understand me, LOL...

Here it is how the light appears in the 508 crystal:

You can see clearly that are 2 images of the same light, and in the 292 above you can see only one image of the light.

It's the bigger reflection that causes the problem we don't like.
What I don't understand is that in some pams you have this problem and in some other models you don't have it.
My 569 is amazing, only reflect one time the light and the dial is always very visible and show the dial perfectly. What had to be done it something that could stop that bigger blurry reflection to be shown.

I understand what you mean, but I don't think I have the same issue on mine, at least I didn't notice it... Let me take it out of the box and check.

The strange thing is that my 569 isn't as bad as my 508 and they should use the same crystal.
And both are from KW V6 factory.
Maybe I should ask for a spare crystal for my 508, because the one in 569 is perfect!

Yours only show one reflection.... For me that't the best crystal for Pams. All my pams look just like this, I guess I received a bad one in the 508.

I posted about the AR on mine the other day. It makes picture taking a pain in the but. Have to cast a shadow over it to show the dial

Here you can see the diference between 508 and 569 crystals that I have.
I will ask for a spare crystal for the 508 because I can't live with all those reflections hiding the beautiful dial.
