Hey guys

I recently bought a 411 (H maker) from a great member on here. I noticed straight away that this model doesn't seem to have a "sandwich" dial as such.

I've looked around all over RWI AND RWG (plus ALE's guides) and I can't really work out if by "sausage dial" it means that it's not as deep as sandwich dials on watches like the PAM111

Anyone able to shed some light on whether the gens aren't as "sandwich'ed" or is this a rep fault?

Here is a very good pictorial that explains "sausage" dials. Modern sausage dials are similer to the historical "A series" less good in the reference. The are not as deep and raised slightly more.

A sandwich dial is similer to the sausage dail as the "base plate" is engraved and filled with lume. A cut out dail is then glued on top of the base dail.

Here are some pictures I've taken to explain a "sandwich" dial.

You can see here how the 2 layers are "sandwiched". ;)
