PAM390 Noob just received, wow! (pics)

After having searched for the ultimate Panerai (I can assure you, too much choice :frusty:, my first purchase was the PAM111 Noob V3 which I quickly sold because it was too sterile for me. Maybe also due to the black rubber strap that came along with it, but it just wasn't my thing. And that´s why I love the rep game so much, I quickly sold it here at RWI, made someone else happy (my loss, your gain ;-) and without losing real money like with a GEN I went on searching for other reps. And then it hit me, the PAM390 showed so pure and warm with its gold hands, vintage type markers, the grey-brownish dial, asso strap....

So I had my mind made up and went out to search for my PAM390 and thanks to ALE7575, Bozz and various other contributors to this forum I got even more convinced about this great watch. And moreover, the latest Noob Version should be pretty much improved over the last batch. After having seen really great hybrid builds in m2m being snatched right in front of my nose csam: I decided to pull the trigger and buy a new one. Got into contact with Sead (supermirrors) and this is one great dealer. Fast communications, superfast shipment (triangular) and delivers great quality. So now enough about my history in search of my holy PAM grail, on to the pics (I´ll let them do the talking).

Damn, now I´ve just wanted to set the time and movement is completely dead...Can you believe that. Just my bad luck...I´ve sent Sead an email. This is so sad, such a great watch and now it´s not running...bummer:boohoo:

Opened up caseback and when in horizontal position it will work (after slight tap on the side) but when in vertical position it stops, do you guys think this can be fixed or just a case of DOA movement

Sure am mine has been sent back to China which is frought with danger as Chinese customs does not allow replica watches into the country (funny or what)

This is a simple task for any qualified watchsmith. Go and get it there NEVER send back the watch to CHN for such an issue.... Its an a6497 movement, basic stuff.

Sead sent me a whole Noob 390 caseset free when last year 2 lugs were stripped. No questions asked. A movement issue is better to deal with locally, imho. Good luck.

Shipping back the watch to china is as expensive as a new 6497 movement....... So basicly you're indeed better off handling it locally

Oh wow, what are the odds? Mine has been stuck in China since early November and tracking shows "failed delivery" and nothing after that!!!
Seriously, don't ship to China folks...

+1 easy and cheap fix for a watchsmith

Bummer, I had a problem with my 390 from the moment I received it. Mine was a winding problem and I fixed it myself after searching for the possible issue.
Of course this is not what you want, but hey I guess lots of us had similar problems and I am sure you can work it out.

My Pam390's movement also dead!
it was on the drawer since the arrival
just put it on the wrist today, winding seems problematic
After I pulled the crown for setting time, it was no longer possible to wind
I brought it to a watchsmith, he could not fix it - he says either stem is short or keyless mechanism is not matching
