Just GL'ed a new VSF PAM382 bronzo for myself, was surprised by two things that I looked into first before approving...
Apparently the most recent batch from VSF have quite a gap between the markers and the engraved ticks at 5 and 10 minutes. One step backward for sure - gen 382's to have the engravings go pretty much all the way to the markers. Sounds like they are all like this now, so not much I can do except hope that some patina and bronze crud will cover it up real quickly
The crown guard is a bit different as well vs. an earlier VSF 382 v2 that I've had the chance to get my hands on. I believe the "G" has been correct on all the v2's, but the spacing of the "." after REG on my new one was different vs. the other v2 that has the "." practically next to the G. I have a few gen panerai's and I found it amusing the the "." on one of them is so far over it is practically in the crown cutout hole. Gotta love Italian precision!
