PAM380 N 1:1 Genuine Crocodile Strap A6497

Hi all,

After buying some nice reps, I would like to buy a new one: a Radiomir.
This one I like very much:

I have read ALE's guide and read there about the PAMN380 rep, but this watch is newer then de reviewed ones.
Does anybody know this is a good rep? All help is welcome!

I had this a long time ago plus the gen and it’s pretty sweet. The rep strap needs replacing as it’s not very nice from memory. Great movement. Good luck

I don't see any difference with the older H-fac version which was classified as a first class rep. The PANER AI flaw is still there, and I suspect the reason the watch is expensive is because of the genuine black crocodile strap, which depending on your tastes might be a bargain or it might not. There is also the uncertainty of the quality of the strap, even if it is made from genuine crocodile leather. Maybe inquire with the TD regarding getting the same watch but on a rep strap.

Puretime has 3 variations of this model.
2 older and this one.

The difference besides the strap is the way the movement looks like and the deeper water resistance.

What about the difference in movements?

Water resistance engraving is the same on all three watches, 100m.

The movement on the newer PAM380 is a replica of the OPII movement, like the one in gen. The one on the older PAM380 is a replica of the OPXI movement, like the ones found on the PAM111. However, function wise they are the same, plus the movement is hidden behind a closed caseback.

Quality of movement is the same (they're both based on the ETA6497 movement only different bridges/plates). For the water resistance, I do see the difference (50m for the new vs 20m for the old). However, irregardless of what the spec is on TDs websites (and the water resistance test result), we still strongly suggest you don't risk your reps in water unless they've been properly sealed by a local watchmaker.

It could be H-factory, because no other known factory released it and it shows the same issues as the more expensive version. However, I cannot be 100% sure as the watch that gets to you may actually be an unknown factory version which has not been reviewed. Is it worth the 40$? It is up to you.

Thanks, indeed it's better to go for sure and go for the $268 piece.

My brother wants a Pam too, we order both at the same time to save some shipping costs.
He would like a Pam183, he likes the sandwich dials.
There are also different variations and prices.
