Well my quest for a high quality 373 continues. Purchased the attached from TSWatch and also got a high quality rep croc strap off a 346 via a M2M sale aand here are the results.
Brown face: check
Plexi crystal: check
Gold hands with correct markings: check
Engraved case back with proper engravings: check
And yes I know it's got the wrong movement, my aim was to get something very good on the wrist.
Going in based on the qc pics, I was a bit concerned that the hour hand was a tad short (supposed to cover the dots) But overall was extremely happy with sales and qc pics and after I opened the box.
It wasn't until I put this beauty down and compared it to a fantasy SLC dial watch that I already have that I noticed some additional gaps.
12 tick markers are too close, dots appear a bit small and panerai radiomir font appears exaggerated. Stick and dot lume is pretty sad as well and engraving at top of case says PAM00379 (which is a gold watch) vs 373.
To be fair this was never advertised to be a 373 but a radiomir vintage, no complaints with TC. Rock solid watch for the price.
But I guess I have to take up Trevor on his 373 which is considerably more expensive or settle for a 449, 425 or 577 to get a more gen like SLC dial!
