PAM359 Seagull Issue

Hello all,

I have the PAM 359 with seagull movement; a beautiful watch but not so dependable movement (at least in my case).

So the automatic movement is working fine, but nothing happens when I wind the crown. The crown feels a bit loose. When I gently shake the watch it starts and runs fine. So I just need to get this crown up and working again.

If anyone has some insight to what this problem may be, please let me know. Is this something I may be able to fix myself? I'm hoping this isn't another $100 fix, I've already had to do one of those on this watch.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I actually have this same problem. Crown doesn't wind the movement, but I can still adjust time. Movement only starts when rotor is moved. Interested to know if it's an easy fix.

Thanks for your reply rice. Can you please share your method for adjusting the time? Are you able to somehow adjust the date as well?

It sounds like a keyless issue, but I have never personally taken a 2555 apart. Not worth my time and your money trying to fix a $40 movement. Much like a 2813, the seagulls are just throwaways, IMO.

That is very disappointing; given that I received so many favorable suggestions to purchase this specific model with movement. It has broken twice, and I'll certainly never waste money on a seagull again.

I have a seagull in my 569 and it works without issue. Luck of the draw. I believe you can buy a replacement seagull from Ofrie cheap.

I adjust the time on mine the same way I would adjust a properly working one. I also adjust the date through a pinhole button @7. In other words, the only problem is manual winding with the crown is shot.
