PAM359 or PAM029

I actually own a PAM112M and I'm totally happy with it but.....

The problem is that I really miss the seconds marker and the date. I find myself looking at the watch many times a day looking for the date. The seconds marker were missed a couple of times too.

I'm about to pull the triger in a PAM with date and seconds, but can't decide which one.

So, I really like the 359, which is closer to the PAM111/112 style than the PAM029. For what I've seen, the PAM029 is a superrep. My doubt is if the 359 is superlumed and close to the gen as the 111M replica.

BTW, is there any manual wind PAM with date and secs?

I just sold my 359, it's a very nice watch but the lume did bother me along with the crystal, the AR was not the best. I would go with the 029 if that's your other choice. If you wanted to keep it simple, 005 is very nice too. I don't think it's as "dressy" as the 029 but it all depends on what strap you use.

Personally I prefer the 359 over 029, but as Deadbear said, the 359 rep has almost no lume. If you really want lume, you would have to send it to Vac or someone who can re-lume it for you. Here's mine:

I "upgraded" to the v2 and the lume is really not that bad on the new version. I think the cutout of the numbers is better allowing more of the glow to come thru. I will try to post a couple of pics later tonight.

The PAM 359 is a good rep but the PAM 029, as you say, is a super rep.
Yes I think the 359 perhaps is nicer but the 029 has a lot of personality and is beautiful too. The engraved dial is awesome.
But concerning accuracy and like gen looking, the 029 is better by far.
Besides the solid caseback in 029 hide the mvmt differences.

If you are looking for accuracy and like gen look, go to the 029 without doubts.

I have one and it is one of the best reps I have never seen, very good finish and gen like.
The PAM 111 Noob is a very good rep (I have one too), and I have voted for it in the poll ROTY, but I had serious doubts between PAM 111 and 029.

Believe me, if you are looking for a close to gen rep, with the 029 you will not be disappointed !!

Maybe I just got lucky with mine
I bought the new 88 super rep and the v2 359 together and even with the less accuracy its what I kept because I liked the look better. The 88 went to the sales section.
To me it was worth it to lose 15-20 bucks on the watch to be sure which one I wanted by buying both and then selling one on the forum.
