PAM356 - dirty dial Lume quality

Hi all,

Recently purchased a noob PAM356.

Found the overall quality and build up to the standards of a super rep, however have found the Lume to be extremely reluctant to glow.

Even after a generous helping of sunlight, the lume just doesn't seem to glow at all - even in complete darkness. The only time it does glow is when given 10-20 seconds of light from an LED torch (back of iphone). Has anyone else has this problem??

The watch was stated to come with super luminova - however I don't think this is performing as well as it should.

Is here anything that can be done to improve the lume? Would be great to find someone local to reLume the dial and hands....

Thanks in advance

In general, colored pigments do not glow as brightly, but it is also possible that the factories don't use enough pigment in their mixtures. Basically watering it down to make it last longer.

By last longer, he means to stretch out the supply of luminova pigment in the factory. I have a 2 year old PAM356 and it glows fine so maybe the latter batches (and since Noob was putting these on sale never to return again) MIGHT have been using watered down dirty lume as @Strodda mentioned.

Hahaha, you're welcome son.

But back to the lume. It's likely possible to improve it, but a modder would need to see it in person. You definitely can't sit it next to a 111 and expect the same look. If you ever want it relumed, just let a local modder know. BTW, where are you located?

Thanks mate, I'm in Sydney- Australia. So think I'll have to go international to get it modded.

Thinking I might just teach/learn myself??? Maybe stepdad can teach me??? Haha

Same problem here. Its my favorite rep, but the lume is almost non-existent. I actually contacted the TD after receiving it asking if the lume had been left off by accident. If you find a good lumer for this one, let me know!

Will do - I don't even know if there are any modders internationally for this. It isn't a Sandwhich dial, so each marker will have to be cleaned and relumed. Plus the subdials look terribly difficult to reLume give how small they are

BTW, if you already did place an service request, I apologize. Haven't checked messages in a couple days... I've been working at the desk.

Stepdad, aka @Strodda does excellent work. He's worked on three watches for me. Always excellent workmanship, great communication. Highly recommend! Thanks Strodda!

The gen doesn't glow much either.

I have a quick question on this watch - the crystal. Does it use a standard 44mm luminor crystal? Because it doesn't look like it does. I have a prof one sitting here waiting to be fitted but don't want to send it to my ws if it won't look right.

Thanks mate - will drop a service request the next few days. Life is crazy at the moment.

I couldn't find the box to tick for stepdad pricing though???
