So I have been browsing around some of the TD's websites looking for my first pam and the 339 is looking REALLY tempting. I am just curious to see if anyone on here has one that can tell me about how they like it, or if there any reviews out there that I can look at. I've been browsing around here looking for information on it but have come up with nothing.

Any information would be helpful. I have narrowed my list down to the 005, 111m, and the 339.

Anyways, here's the link to the one I'm looking at

Why not add pam292 to the list? The ceramic case is so much better than the pvd ss. Light and scratch resistant. Super lumed too.

PAM 339 is not a good choice because the reps in the market are of LOW grade. You could go to a similar watch like the PAM 386 of which you have First Class rep or a PAM 292 ceramic of which you have Super reps

For PAM 005 and 111 you have Super reps from Noob and from H maker. They are the best choices

Below you can read some information (extracted from my future REVIEW GUIDE of PAM replicas) about PAM 339 and PAM 386 in the version of replica made of Aluminum PVD coated (wheight similar to the composite gen) and PAM 292 Ceramic version

PAM 339
EVALUATION: LOW GRADE REP
The gen PAM 339 is a Special Edition of 1000 watches in 2010, and it is made of a special material called Composite (like the PAM 386 released in 2010 too as a regular production).
Panerai Composite is a material that is the result of an electrochemical process of Ceramization of Aluminium. This material is harder than SS and Titanium and it is even up to 40% harder than ceramic. Its weight is much lighter too. Panerai composite is virtually resistant to scratching or denting, but the material is nonetheless much easier to work with.
As opposed to ceramic, Panerai composite is very suitable for complex and precise machining. Obviously a huge benefit for watch making. An interesting fact is that Panerai managed to mill the case and bezel out of one piece. This implies that the bezel cannot be removed from the case. The material itself is not new, nor is it a Panerai invention. It has been used for years already in the aeronautic industry and in other industries where high performance and reliable materials are of great importance. But Panerai are the first to use this material in watch making and I'm absolutely sure that other watch companies will be introducing their own composite watches next year. Panerai leads, others follow.
Besides the technical importance of the new materials used, the watch is simply stunning. Panerai have managed to combine innovation and history in this new special edition Radiomir. The dial reads Marina Militare and it has the circular 8 giorni brevettato logo - derived from the vintage Panerai watches with a mechanical Angelus movement and an eight days power reserve. The hand-wound mechanical movement is the new P.2002/7 calibre which is entirely made by Panerai. It has of course an eight day (8 giorni) power reserve to keep with its historical military roots. The design of the movement incorporates three spring barrels to achieve an eight day power reserve. This system was introduced with the first Panerai Manifattura movements in 2006 I- series. Interestingly this watch has no power reserve indicator, not on the dial and not on the back , the watch has Solid caseback.
Unfortunately it is very difficult to copy the characteristics of such a gen watch, the replicas are made of SS PVD coated but the colour and finish are not close to the Composite gen and, moreover, the weight denounces the different material of the rep.
We must consider it a Low grade rep.

Better going to a similar watch: the PAM 386

PAM 386
REPLICA VERSION MADE OF ALUMINIUN DLC COATED
EVALUATION: FIRST CLASS REP
The gen PAM 386 is made of a COMPOSITE. It is the result of an electrochemical process of ceramization of the aluminium, this material is harder than the ceramics normally used for cases in watch-making (zirconia), and also harder than metals like steel and titanium, as well as being lighter. Thanks to its qualities of ductility and reliability, the Panerai composite allows for complex and extremely precise workings and is the result of processes that, up to now, were employed in the creation of components for the aeronautic industry and for car and motorcycle races requiring the highest levels of performance.
The below reps are made of aluminium DLC Coated, and due to the low weight of the aluminium, the rep have a weight similar to the gen. But it is much softer than the gen.
A sandblasted finish in the rep gives to the watch a ceramic like aspect as the gen has.
The look is similar to the SS sandblasted DLC Coated but the weight is much closer to the gen
These reps made of Aluminium DLC Coated are more close to the original PAM than the SS Coated ones. It seems the aluminium reps are the best current choice because they are even cheaper than SS PVD coated version.
The gen PAM 386 has a special Panerai “Manifattura”movement P.9000, therefore, for the rep it is impossible to be close to the gen with a display caseback. Please bear in mind if you are looking for a big accuracy.

PAM 292
This is the replica version made of Black Sandblasted Ceramic like the gen.
EVALUATION: SUPER REP
The gen PAM 292 is similar to PAM 183 but made of Black sandblasted finish Ceramic instead of polished SS and fitted with solid caseback. It seems more similar to the PAM 380 but this last watch has a very different Logo Sausage dial instead of conventional Sandwich dial.
The gen Black Panerai Radiomir PAM 292 was first introduced in 2007 and it is now slowly making its way to the lucky few on the waiting lists. As opposed to other earlier black Panerai watches - like the Pre V 202/A and 203/A, the PAM 4,9,26, 360 and 195 - this Radiomir is not a PVD coated watch. Its case is Ceramic. There is currently only one other ceramic Panerai watch, which is the PAM 317.
PVD watches are made with stainless steel cases to which a black coating (PVD) is applied. Panerai themselves feel that especially the early PVD cases turned out to be too fragile. The cases scratch easily and once that happens, there's not much you can do about it. Ceramic however, is about five times harder than stainless steel and as a result much less prone to scratches. The new Ceramic watches are Panerai's solution for a much more reliable product. But the production process of ceramic watches is much more complicated and time consuming - mainly because the material is so hard. The cases are not molded, but made by machining. This is most likely why it has taken quite long for the first watches to be delivered to their owners. But, it's worth the wait.
There is another interesting detail about this Black Seal. Although the watch is not a Special Edition, the 2008 run does no longer have the little submarine SLC torpedo with two frogman riders- often referred to as the "pig"- on the dial. This seems to make the 2007 J-series a very collectible watch. The J-series is limited to 1000 pieces and another 1500 pieces will be made for the K-series (2008). The gen PAM 292 is part of the Panerai “Historic” Radiomir models, it has a Sandwich black dial in a cushion shaped Radiomir black Ceramic case 45mm, with detachable wire lugs with, seconds@9 sub-dial, Solid caseback and movement Panerai OP XI calibre, ETA based, it is manual winding by a onion shaped crown which has OP logo engraved.
This replica Full Black Ceramic version of PAM 292 is made of real Black Ceramic and with sandblasted type finish very close to the gen. Sometimes this replica is even sold cheaper than the equivalent in Black PVD SS. We can consider the Full Ceramic as a Super Rep.

Big thanks for the reviews! Thank you for helping me to remove the 339 from my list. I had no idea it was considered such a crappy rep. On the other hand, the 292 is gorgeous! I appreciate the recommendation guys!

ALE, I couldn't help but notice you haven't mentioned for the 292 that the K series had a very serious issue with an incorrect glue being used causing the case to split apart and making the lugs useless. They fixed it with the following models.
