PAM318 vs. PAM417

Sorry if this question has already been answered...

Which of the two (PAM318 L-series H-Maker vs. PAM417M H-maker) is more accurate to the Gen and a more reliable watch? I could just pass those two up entirely and go with the PAM005 but I kinda like the character that the first two has on the face and the case back.

I have read the "Reference PAM REVIEW-GUIDE" by ALE7575 (awesome, must-read) but can seem to figure this one out.

Any help would be much appreciated.

With both watches, the caseback is going to be the biggest flaw in that it is not very deeply engraved. Everything else is very similar. The 417 is a sausage dial and the 318 is a sandwhich, so it all depends on what you like more.

the 005 is by far the more accurate of all you suggested though.

Thanks for the feedback...good point about the sausage vs. sandwich (I'm getting hungry!). I actually am ok with either one. As for the engraving on the back, is it pretty obvious that it is much lower quality engraving than the Gen? It is something that would totally stand out?

Yes, you are correct (at least according to ALE7575's "Reference PAM REVIEW-GUIDE")...the 318 is a sausage.

Well, it is apparent to us, but it is something that you'll only have to worry about if you wear your watch backwards, you remove your watch with alarming frequency, and your intention is to mislead somebody into thinking you own the gen. Otherwise, you'll only have to worry about what's visible, which is the dial, the case, the CG, all of which are pretty spot on on both reps.

the caseback engraving on the v1 H factory 318 is actually quite good. I would say, that I havent compared to the gen, and there might be a difference, but it still looks gen. the quality of the work is absolutely good enough to pass, though it might be less deep than gen.

If you consult the PAM GUIDE both watches 318 and 417 are sausage dials. No worries about that.
Both have complex engraved casebacks not as deeply engraved and nice as gen. As trksh says the 318 last version has a more accurate CB.
Both are Super reps
But the 418 has a more complex dial with PIG logo and coloured lume. This is the weakness of this watch.

Threfore answering your question:
-The last versions of 318 are more closed to gen than 417 ones
- Both watches are the same about reliablility.

Concerning PAM 005, last version V2 from Noob is surely better than previous two.

To me, that says it all...when you try to get too complex, it seems you inevitably lose some quality. I think I may just end up following the KISS principle (Keep It Simple Son) and go with the 005 v2 from Noob.
