Hey all, I was doing some research on the accuracy of the newest 'ultimate' PAM 312 models, but I can't find much as I suppose it's not as popular as the 111 and 112 models.

My question basically is what is/are the main tells from the 312 L Ultimate from the GEN 312? From what I gather the quality of the crystal is one, but what else? From the photos it seems like some of the main problems like recessed CP, case shape and date window/wheel have been more or less fixed from the older 312's.

What are some of the other tells on and off the wrist?

Thanks everyone!

Oh wow that IS really close. Thanks for that, Madcat.

Seems like even a Pam fan would be hard pressed to spot those on the wrist.

And how big of a differene is the A7750 and 23j?

They both don't look like the gen movement from the back, and they have a similar sweep from what i've seen.

From what I hear, the 23J is more dependable than the 7750...but that depends who you ask :p

The movement was the deal killer for me on this rep. I'm around paneristi all the time, and they know I have gens, so when I wear my H-factory, I'm never called out.

This watch, the moment I took it off my wrist to look at, I'd be called out.

About the 7750 movement...do you guys recommend getting this serviced when it's brand new? I know this is recommended for other watches with a 7750 movement, as they are quite sensitive.

One would hope that the factory would clean the movement because of the clear caseback...is that the case with 312 reps? *fingers crossed*

No... don't service it until you have problems. The 7750 movement is not a bad movement at all, especially in non chrono form. Don't sweat it so much. The latest PAM 312 is a great watch with a solid movement.

The 35j seagul movement model shows a thickness of 16.5mm while the 7750 shows 18.5 mm thick. Are they both made by the same factory? I'd like to get the best version of this watch

There is only one best version of this watch. It has the a7750 movement.

Okay, so after wearing this watch for a few days some new questions came up.

What's is the real difference between the ultimate rep crystal and the GEN? I read people saying they're NOTHING alike...but what are they comparing? Clarity? Shape? AR?

My crystal is very clear, but could use an AR coat.

I just read a thread about the dreaded light ring which shows up on the inside of my crystal...now its all I see when I look at this otherwise beautiful watch.

Are there any places in CONUS to whom I can send my crystal for an (inner) AR treatment? Or perhaps an upgraded crystal that is available?

How easy is this to call out as a rep while on the wrist?

I ask because I have to go to an event which may have some Paneristi...none of whom I know personally, but I know there will be some there. I don't plan on taking it off or really getting close to them because I'm there for other reasons...so would it be an easy call out?

It's also a night event, so hopefully that light ring won't show up.
