To be honest I'd go for the 571.
It's sort of a 305 with closed case back (so no faux escapement to look at) has nice 12 and 6 instead of baton markers and it's a super rep ;)

Paul nailed it...or 364/243..read the PAM guide/bible which ALE and many PAM members gurus' contribution will def help you..it did for me..

for that kind of price on 305, should look at a super rep

Many would often recommend the 364 over the 305, essentially the same thing just different bezel and a closed back giving it super rep. But I believe the 364 is a bit taller.. Depends how you'd like that.

Totally agree with going with the 571 instead, with the baton 12 & 6 on the 305, the dial may look a little empty. If the display caseback is why you're looking at the 305 then sure, go ahead but you should know that the display caseback is exactly why the 305 isn't classified as a super rep. The decorated P9000 will just never be that accurate.

I've not read too much on the 305 to know what else about it is inaccurate, sorry. But IMO you can't go wrong with PAM Subs ;)

I like better 305 dial and I don't care about the open caseback.
read the PAM guide/bible
I did but dealers started to list this 305 version just a couple of months ago. I thought it was a new rep.

What is exactly missing to be a super rep? I can do a franken :) I always end up doing frankens

Nop, I'm looking at the 305 because I like the dial better and the bezel better.

Ok, I could consider installing a Swiss 7750. As far as I know, when you buy a real PAM you can pick up in-house movement or ETA 7750, right? A new 7750 movment runs for 500€but I can manage to source a second hand unit.
Perhaps 087 as well?
I like better the 305. In conclusion; baton markers and open case back? No problem with this :)

The decoration plate features faux, frozen parts. Say the watch is running but pieces won't move, putting it bluntly. Kinda huge deal breaker for me.

Luckily you can't choose mate :)
The P9000s are customized ("in house") 7750s, and not only they have exclusive features, they just don't look the same - hence the faux deco plates with non-moving parts on them reps.

Dig a bit deeper on ALEs guide so you can make your own opinions and choose what you like.

In the end, if you dig the 305 looks and are not trying to pull the "it's a GEN" off just go for it and be happy with your choice.

Cheers

Do you mean frozen parts in the movement?

Nahhh, :) I just think the 305 looks cool and I'd like to make a keeper. Maybe installing eta 7750 or sw500 but only for my own pleasure. If case, bezel and dial are ok, I'm ready to take the plunge.

I mean the deco plates that goes on top of the movement to make it look like the gen P9000 has no function at all.

I did this comparo of different deco plates when trying to center the date on my 389, see how the faux escapement is glued to both:

Ok, thanks Paul :) I have no problem with that and if I had, I guess I could get a 571 closed case back and just swap it. I think I'm going for it.

So as per KW the 571 and 305 use the same case. If you ask your TD to source it from factory you should get the updated "super rep" case from the 305 with the correct bezel. Only thing you should ask your TD to look for is the pearl marker should be almost white. You can message me your Quality Control Pictures if you have questions or concerns.

No doubts better PAM 571 or PAM 364 instead of PAM 305 (even the last version)

Oooook, then I'll hold my horses. The latest version of 305 TD are selling is this one;

And latest version of 571 is this one;

Pearl is almost white and numbers on bezel seem to be thicker

This is gen;

so funny the 30 bezel marker on the Gen pic is rotated and not straight. See boys? Nothing to worry about for our reps LOL.

That 571 looks like a ZF... Im not 100% sure on that though. The date number color is matching everything else. The KW has a Tan look to it. I could be wrong. You might have better luck sourcing it form a individual TD instead of a Big Time TD as PureTime. Ive heard the email response times are terrible with the Bigger Rep dealers. Anyways good luck!

They also have a zf 305q. I have that one and love it. Has slightly larger bezel pips and the proper whiter pearl/hands.

I know the closed CB 571 is more accurate, but I prefer the baton dial and I'm not worried about the open back. Also had a 571 for a short time but it was a seagull... so it had to go.

On this gen video, numbers on bezel are thinner;

Maybe I take the plunge after all :)

I usually go with Andrew from Trusty, basically because I haven't had any problem with him yet
