I was thinking of buying a GMT and the PAM297 is in my visor. Could anyone please tell me if the second hour works fine?

If by the second hour you mean the GMT hand, it works perfectly fine. It's a 24 hour GMT which matches the rotation of the movement on the rep (some reps have 12-hour GMTs so this is a flaw, but not on this rep).
