Hello all-

recently just got a brand new PAM297 rep for a TD and went to change the band and one of the pins will not release at all. emailed with the TD and they told me i had to send it back to them on my dime to get fixed...id really rather not spend the extra $$ to do this. is there an easy way to fix it myself or would a local watch shop be able/ willing to fix it for me? any help greatly appreciated!

The PAM 297 has spring loaded pins just like the 243... they aren't threaded... its just depressing the spring loaded button and the strap bar should release..
will it not depress?

I presume since the OP said one of the lug bars would not come out that he was able to get the other one out, but yeah I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask. ;) kgolfer18, if the quick release button will not depress to release the lug bar, you can go two ways:

1. Replace the QR mechanism. This needs a new QR button (which you won't be able to get anywhere except from the factory). So the sub-choice would be to either send back the watch (on your dime, but maybe you can negotiate with the TD to share the costs since this is a new watch and they should have checked if it was working) or have the QR button sent to you and you do the modification by yourself (not an easy task, you need to place the button at the right position to be able to lock the lug bar in place and release it when you press the button).
2. Get the lug bar out (essentially destroying the lug bar and the QR button) and replacing the lug bars with spring loaded ones which look like regular lug bars from panatime, for example.

I guess it may be because the holes of bracelet and the connecting parts (between watch and bracelet )are not straight due to the poor quality work. Mine was the same.
