PAM243 Date change?

I have just unwrapped a 243 from Toro and set date and time.

Normally I would set yesterdays date and spin the hands past 12.00 to change date once and be in AM time. I notice however that the date doesn't change when hacked and spun past 12.00

Is this normal for this model?

Movement? 7750? If it is it should advance the date when you set the time past 00:00.

Yes, a7750 and I have just removed the caseback and the rotor is not attached. The rotor just sits in position with a loose castelated washer sitting on top. The blue screw in the centre is tight but does not secure the rotor.

Quick and dirty pictures but what's going on here then? My first a7750 so it just doesn't look obvious to me.

One of those "Aha" moments when I saw the flats on the inside of the washer! It's a circlip, so turns to anchor the rotor to the standing centre hub.

Job done, all screws tight and now have to see if date changes in the next 24 hrs.

Check because you may need to tighten crown guard screws, mine were loose, a little purple locktight is wise on these.

Date on mine begins to change at 22.50 and then rocks back (no change) at 22.56. - Date wheel moves about 10-15% of the change before clicking back. I will need to see a smith for that as I don't think I can tackle it.

+1 for Loctite CG screws. It took me 2 months to get a new set from Angus when one came off on the second day after arrival. Otherwise a fantastic watch.

I'm having the same issue you did. But it's even more weird because I rotated two times past twelve and nothing. The third time I went past twelve it changed.

Now I set the date twice already, once it changed during the AM, but after resetting it, it never changed again, had to do it manually.

I will wait to see if it changes today.

I have been too busy with work to get mine to a smith so it contiues to make it's little effort without fully clicking over on the date. Looses about three minutes a day also so unlikely to have regulation before shipping.

Beautifull watch though :cute: still glad I bought it. Toro is fine to deal with.
