Hi Guys,

I got an old school PAM196 and thinking of swapping the movement with a 7753 movement.

Here comes the questions

1.) Will the 7753 fit with the old school case and bezel?

2.) If it fits, will it be able to adjust the date throught the corrector at 10 o'clock after the 775 is installed?

3.) Will the 7753 fit with the new case and bezel?

Thanks people. :D

I have an old-case 196 with 7753 that I bought from lovepanerai. So, yes the movement will fit in the case (you'll probably need a new movement spacer, though) and yes the date change at 10 o'clock works just fine. I'm not sure if it takes any watchsmith work to get the date changer to work, though.

The bigger questions for you are:

1. Do your existing hands fit or will you have to get 7753 specific hands? (I'll bet you need new hands)

2. Is the subdial spacing the same or will you need a 7753 specific dial? (I have no idea about this one)

Good luck, when it's all done, it's a hell of a watch!
