pam195 -the original design..

the original design for the pam195 (by the pple at p-isti) was that of a stainless steel polished marina with L SWISS L tabacco dial and gold hands..this:

looks hot but it was, however, never produced..instead, panerai released a pvd marina with a logo dial..

the original design forgotten by most people...several months ago, panerai released a special edition watch for sincere fine watch's anniversary...a tabacco dialed power reserve...

and following that, in a small factory in the quiet city of adelaide, the original 195 was made...with several refinements..a L SWISS L marina militare dial was used to link the watch back to panerai's military roots and black hands were used instead of gold ones cause it looks better on the tabacco dial..

so without further ado..the ORIGINAL 195!!!

well..i know it's a pseudo fantasy watch but hey, i think it looks good! case was from a river's 111h, dial from river's 036, crown from josh's 112h, case back, hands and movement from davidsen, strap from TWB, deployment from a 196....

and yes, i got bored while studying...AGAIN!

dear dark overloard moggio....i'm doing medicine.. having a 1 WEEK study break now before the exams next week..it's ultra boring and dry studying at home..

now, i have davidsen's gold hands coming(i ordered one set but a set for 183 was sent out..david was kind enough to resend the correct hands..), should i do the switch when it arrives? i reckon it looks pretty good with the black hands, especially with the black croc strap..

why not ...for the sake of the new gold hand..change it ..put it in there...and see how it looks..and post a picture 1 or 2 here..so at least ..we can see how it looks like...msut be wonderfull

I don't know, I think the gold hands will look nicer IMHO. It gives it a sorta vintage feel to it.

Eddy - i'll try the gold hands on it once i get it from davidsen. think u're right, it will look more vintage..but i'm just afraid that the gold hands will not stand out from the tabacco dial..will definitely look great on a black dial tho..but i'll try..

enzo - i will stick to gold now.... maybe i'll try the blue on a vintage project and i'll try to get parts of it to oxidise to black, if that's possible..

quarks - it's heaps BORING having to study for a week non stop, i should say that it's counterproductive, i'd rather take the exams after revising over the weekend..and i miss my mates in school, the gals especially

Boy I sure don't miss exam time. The amount of stuff you have to study is just overwhelming when you think about it.I definitely don't miss the girls that i went to med school with. Very slim pickin's. But they all had great personalities. :wink:

In the residence during the weekends, strip pokers on the bathroom floor... half-naked ladies half-drunk, giggling, pulling guys into the showers with them hhmmmm yeah!! :twisted:

it's almost 65% girls here, about 70 out of the 110 students in my year are females... 2 hot eurasians, a few gorgeous caucasians, 1 pretty asian.. :lol: the pretty asian looks like ziyi zhang of crouching tiger-hidden dragon and memoirs of a geisha fame...

quarks - that sounds like medcamp! things pple do when they're young, before they get old and saggy! u should really consider going to the amsa convention!!

Memoirs of a Geisha...now that is just plain HOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTTT. UMKC's six year program is even better, loaded with women and ethnic diversity. Major eyecandy, very young too. 18-24. Wish I would have known then.....yada yada yada :lol: :lol:
