PAM111 V4 - Font at the back from QC photo

Hi Guys,

I am getting my first PAM. Just got the QC photos.

I am not comparing this QC photos with gen. I am just checking it against other PAM111 V4 photos you guys posted.
However, font at the back is little bit different. "O" is too small and "A" is absolutely not right.

I guess that this kind of font is usually fixed at the factory and usually NOOB is good at quality.
Just want to share it with you.

It's confirmed by TD that latest batch for all PAM111 from NOOB are like this. Sad

On the bright side, though, that might mean they've retooled the process for making the bridge to give it a little better finish

Trying to get Noob Pam177 instead of Pam111 because of this. We will see if there is same problem on PAM177 as well..

If you love the sandwich dial you could just get a 247 - basically the same except the rear is a closed SE Ferretti caseback

When it comes to open back, I don't have many choices
Is there any other good model(close to gen) with open back and 44mm?

You coudl perhaps get a noob v3 it looks better for this print, some dealers have it in stock, otherwise 247 as said above

Well another 44mm with 'close to gen' open back that I would consider is the 312 (KW) however this one has a 1950 case as compared to the Bettarini of the 111 - fits a bit larger despite having the same 44mm diameter size as a note this one is automatic as compared to manual wind on the 111

Two options for the 312 - A7750 where the balance wheel is at 2 o'oclock or the ST2555 with the balance wheel at 6 (gen has balance wheel at 5 o'clock) they have the same decoration plates just that the balance wheel placement is different, if you want the closest to gen pick the latter

You know all details Thanks for the advice!!! So latest PAM177 NOOB is not worth to consider in your perspective? PAM has a lot of variations. It will take some time for me to be familiar with all models here

Well for me personally I wouldn't go with open casebacks and honestly I prefer the heft of a steel closed caseback that being said I have a 351 (open back) and I am very happy with it !!

I would suggest you read ALE's amazing PAM guide it has been very helpful to be in the past and even now below !

All (complete) new casesets are better than old ones, V3 Noob included, but have some issues as always.

New H maker caseset is much better finished than old H maker, but the edges are sharper than gen and the transition edges of the bezel are also sharper. Bezel base is also a bit higher than gen. Besides H maker sandwich dial is less accurate and less deep than Noob and gen. Anyway you should assure you will receive a complete new H maker case.

The best solution, even regarding price, is try to get a false V4 Noob with correct inscriptions, that happens some times. Or waiting for a complete real V4 Noob
