Guys, Ive been reading the pinned post about pam and was wondering how do i ensure i get a piece with correct MS screw tension on the swan neck and correct Officine Panerai engraving? Do i ask the seller first or wait till the watch arrives? there shouldnt be any problem as more and more batches are produced now they should be fine?

Request for the factory you want from ( as expected the best one out there is from noob) and you will get QC pics, check the engraving with description found on the many 111 threads available. So start reading and learning while they get ready your watch.

do bear in mind that these are still reps, so producing many doesn't guarantee consistency, so there are still hits and misses.
Buy your dealer, not the watch. Trust him to do a good job on the QC for you and leave the rest to luck. ;)

good luck

N just denotes the series, your watch will start with N+serial number.
just make sure you tell the dealer you want a noob factory one. ;)

ryan is a great guy to deal with, rest your worries mate.

Hi friend
You have a thread with QC pics of PAM 111 Noob V3 allowed
Post your QCpics there and ask members for opinion about your watch
PAM 111 N “V3†Noob - Discussion–Compilation of data, Wristshots, QC pics

What do you mean with "correct MS screw tension on the swan neck " ?
Because I assume you know that nothing is correct in a Swan Neck device of a replica. Don't you ?

Good luck

ALE, judging from the QC pics from Toro in the post above, the MS does not touch the regulator. Do I need to be worried about that issue? I've read the post regarding the swan neck and MS but I don't seem to get it very well.

i'm still new here but i personally think you cannot be too picky about the MS and/or engraving. Imo, there's always some flaws in replicas, and if you are really going for something close to the gen why not buy the gen itself or maybe send it for a mod? I've two 111s- 1 modded and 1 non-mod, and both of them have flaws too (the 'I' in Panerai is shorter in the mod and other flaws in the other one).

As many members here always say, the noob 111 V3 is really an amazing rep by itself, and the flaws through the caseback is really almost not noticeable, especially when you are always wearing it! Don't worry and just get the rep! :)

Cheers Eimerz, where did you get yours modded? Did you send to marlin?

My first PAM 111v3 had flaws, despite rejecting the QC twice! (the engraving was too far right). I wore it for a while, got other watches (rep and gen) and decided to come back the 111 so I ordered one directly from Marlin. I think he's really busy now with the festive season and the bunch of 127s so you gotta wait. But honestly, if the 111 is your first rep (as it was for me), don't bother doing a mod! Wear it in good health and enjoy it! You don't have to show off the back of your watch :p

Hi keanz
As said by eimerz, buy the PAM 111 V3 just OTB and no worries about
Swan Neck is not functional in any rep and this is not problem for the running and precision of the movement
Yes, MS not touching the regulator lever is cosmetically incorrect but that doesn't affect the running of the watch. No worries about.
Publish if you want the QC pics in the thread above mentioned and ask members for opinions

Buy the watch and enjoy it. It is an awesome replica.
