Hi guys.
I received my PAM111 from Puretime. Everything abput the order process was perfect but I think there is a problem with the watch movement. It is not working and I can not find why. Before contacting Puretime, I wanted to ask here to understand what the problem is. Because the process with Puretime has been good and I do not want to get back to them if the problem is not that big..
I took a video and here is the link;

https://youtu.be/zLCgstI-FrI
I appreciate if you help me.

It's not very clear but it looks like the micrometric screw is missing. Which possibly might have gotten into the movement and got stuck somewhere.

Saw the vid again and was about to say the same thing. I had the same problem and the micrometric screw was lodged in the hairspring.

I will send detailed pictures but after you said, I realized the same thing and when you compare with the QC pictures, it is obvious.

then how I am gonna fix it? Just removing the screw will solve the problem? or do I need to send it back to TD. Because I tried to wind watch like this as you see in the video. Is it possible to damage movement while manual winding.

Don't wind the movement anymore, it might cause (further) damage. Just open the caseback in a relatively clear area and try to check for the screw, it might simply be lodged inside and can be removed easily. If you can't find it, shake the watch head a little which might cause the screw to fall out (which is why you need to do it in a clear area, so you can see the screw). Alternatively, you can bring it to a watchmaker and let him do it for you. Contact Puretime first to let them know what happened to your watch. Then ask them if you can just have it repaired locally (I wouldn't advise sending it back to China, especially for such a trivial repair). They may either refund you an amount to partially (or fully cover the repair) or give you store credit.

Thanks a lot. Iwill contact my TD first. Then it is possible to check screw with the help a watchsmith. I do not want to do it myself. It is safer with a profesional!

As seen in QC pictures, the micrometric screw was short. But we thought that it is not important since it is not functional.

I had the same problem. Got the watch from same factory. The watch stopped for a day, then start to move again after i wear it on my wrist and move around. Then somehow i noticed the micro regulator screw fall off and stuck on the balance wheel!! Open up the case back, got it out of the way with a twizzer, viola!! Issue resolved without spending a buck. Just keep the screw away, not gonna put it back.

Thanks for your answer. I will try it as soon as I got answer from my TD. For now, I am not touching the watch.. But I can say I am a bit nervous about if the problem is just caused by the missing screw or not :)

I'm pretty sure the watch stopping is caused by the screw getting caught in between the moving parts,like the gears..

I also had this prob with PAM111 noob v4. Starting to sound like this is an issue with the current batch. Some more research will lead you to a slew of other posts that have had the micro metric screw fall out and wreak havoc.

Unfortunately my TD wanted me to send back to China and sternly refused any sort of refund or credit for repairs done stateside.

It does leave a bad taste for NOOB that so many others have had this issue, and frankly for my TD whose only resolution was to ship back.

I went ahead and got a full service on the movement and would recommend you do the same.

This is how I received the watch therefore circumstances maybe different. The commucation and customer service of Puretime have been very good up to now. Therefore, I think I will not meet with with any problem after that. I have other watches in my my mind waiting to order :) As I said, I received the watch this way. I do not prefer sending the watch back but I am sure a solution will come up.

Hi guys, mysterio iceburn JDnTexas updating the situation, lastest news :)

It is not the micrometric screw. I was just curious and just opened the caseback and saw that screw was there waiting for me at the edge of case hiding under the solid side of the caseback. So it was not stuck and jamed any mechanism part. Maybe it damaged before I do not have any idea. I got out the screw and closed the caseback. Still the watch is not working.

This is the last photo of the mechanism after I took out screw;

you can see the screw;

We ALWAYS have another watch we are thinking of ordering! Lol. Mine was received with the issue as well... and I had already decided I wasn’t sending it back. As you say I’m sure a solution will present itself. Just hope it comes quick so that you can start enjoying your watch.

If you dare, make sure your watch is full wounded, then open the case back, try to move the balance wheel with a toothpick a little to "kickstart" the movement. But please do it carefully without touching the mainspring though.

Btw couldn't see your photo.

I moved tha balance wheel but it is not working. It is also fully wounded. No sign of any move. It is like dead :) shaking, winding, removing screw is not helping.

iceburn Do you still not see the photos I added?

acozcan have you tried the old "hit the watch case on the side really hard" trick? (Take care not to let go of the watch head when you do it of course). Might be some other debri stuck as a result of the screw being dislodged. Otherwise, I'd contact the TD and ask for their opinion on what to do (again, try and have the repair done locally and just ask the TD to cover the costs, either partially or fully depending on the cost).

Yea can see the photo now. Sorry couldn't help much mate. Maybe send to your local watchsmith to have a look and get TD to cover the cost, partially if not fully. Mine last for 56 hours after fully wounded, surprise.
