California dial and blue hands is a good combination. Panerai designers could use this combo again and again, and the result always seem surprising.

Below the linked article, a user indicates that California dial was designed and patented by Rolex.

Agree: blue and Cali is a great combo, but what makes me excited is the 42mm. This could be the first dressy cali watch on the Pan range!

There isn't any news regarding this model being repped. The P.1000 movement has not been replicated yet (even in a decorative plated version); that would be the only thing that's working against this model. The case and the dial would be easy enough to make (of course the case will only be polished stainless steel, not white gold on the gen).

I've always liked the radiomir + cali dial config. Very intrigued in this model as it's 42mm and not 47mm. I'd even settle for a closed case back of this model :whistling:
