Ok all, we can agree to disagree. Pams never really interested me. At all. Going through the eye candy post I happen to see the luminor GMT. Son'of'a......

It's like the hot sister, the only hot sister in the family. Where'd she come from? What's her name? Are you adopted? How'd I miss this.

I jumped into this sub forum and holy hell there's a university education on all things Pam in here. Y'all are some die hards. Much respect to all the people on here that put in the work so schmo's like myself Can just show up and take the hot sister on a date lol

Now it's time to find a factory. Bloody hell

IKR, they all look the same but they are not all the same. But there is that one model that will click on you. To me, the 23 and 88 does nothing for me, I even had to look them up. As I am sure the models that I like some might even find them repulsive (Brown dial? Eww).

The last PAM088 they made was from the VSF factory:
https://forum.replica-watch.info/for...0765-vsf-pam88

Hot on the heels, I guess, this will be the easiest to find.

Next are the classic GMT pams in this case from the main factories HF / NOOB, or earlier cartel / no name versions, depending on the specific model:
PAM088, PAM089, PAM228, PAM279, PAM 237.

There is also an old school GMT with a central second: PAM023, PAM029, PAM063
They were produced in different series, with different movt., And the manufacturers, for example, were PAM029 A with T dial from DSN, B series from EL with 2893-A2 inside, or M series from NOOB with 2836-2, as Swiss and not.

There are also many models with a 1950 case, but since that's another story, I'll just throw the thought of looking at the PAM531, PAM320, PAM438 / PAM441.

In general, PANERAI has always had a GMT, there have always been many, many, many good REPs, from different factories at different times. In the higher place I would have decided what I am looking for: classic / old school / 1950, and then I looked at the models, studied at which factories they were made with what advantages and disadvantages, and decided from there.

Of course, not all of the above is easy to get, but that's our hobby.

Good luck!

If the Pam bug has caught you, be sure to check out the pam177 thread. For a few years they were difficult to find, now they are back, but for how long?

I also never considered anything Panerai as I thought them to be known for huge oversized cases and just did not like the few that I had seen. I then started really looking through various TDs and there were so many more choices I quickly got confused. I honestly had no idea that there were many more options that I had never seen. My first purchase was a Ceramica version from WBK and was due to the stealth black case. This watch on the wrist immediately changed my mind about Pam as it just looks fantastic to me. I then went down that damn rabbit hole and now have several Pams that I enjoy.

I also purchased the larger GMT you are asking about and to my suprise it actually wears well for such a hefty watch. I now know Pams make good rep choices as the simple style is easy to duplicate and they are one of the best for somehow making a big watch that actually looks normal on average size wrists. I was quickly converted and if you try one you may be as well. I like the Ceramica so much I am now really wanting to find a gen. I have a love hate thing with this forum as it is a great resource however is slowly taking all my cash....ha
