Pam with flip-up cover

Hi all

Last time I was in KL I saw what I believe was a Pam with a cover over the face - just wondering if this model:

has a gen counterpart,

is one of a series of gens done with covers, or if

the cover is an accessory for a range of models

I don't own a Pam and am attracted to oddities, being one myself so any info would be gratefully appreciated.

BTW The other reason I might like to buy one of these is because I could wear it as a daily beater without being overly concerned with scratching the crystal.

Its probably the pam216, i think theres 3 total pams that has a cover. See ale's pam guide. Everything from how good its made to what movement it has is there.

There are several PAMs fitted with “hunter†type lid, leaving aside the PAM 076 (with a PIG engraved) the other watches are made in cooperation with James Purdey & Sons, the London gun manufacturers.

The gen PAM 076 is a 2002 Limited Edition of 300 watches made of Titanium, but has a "hunter" type case with a lid that pivots at 12. The lid is engraved with a scene of two divers aboard a SLC torpedo submarine PIG.
The gen PAM 076 Black Seal ships with a further blank lid, on which the owner can have engraved a design of their choice.

The watches made for Purdey are several special edition watches with the same hunter case as the PAM 076, but with "hunting" images engraved on the lids.

The gen PAM 152 is a Limited Edition of 100 pieces released in 2002 E-series.
In cooperation with Purdey, the gun manufacturers, Panerai have produced four special edition watches with the same hunter case as the PAM 076, but with "hunting" images engraved on the lids. The PAM 152 was one of them.
