Pam straps ?

Now that I am a new Pam owner ( just got my first one)..... I am thinking about getting more straps.

Do you Pam owners like to customize your Pam's or do you like to keep it looking as GEN as possible ? ( panerai style straps)

Some models just don't seem right with some strap styles... just wondering what you like with yours.

I have been pouring over all the straps available from the TD's .... and from online custom strap makers....
so many to choose from..... just can't seem to decide. lol

Custom is the way to go with PAM straps. The rep asso straps are pretty well replicated but the just don't fit most watches imo

I like the gen asso straps but there are a tone of excellent aftermarket strap makers available. My favorites: Malio, Kain Heritage, Di Stefano, Mario Paci, Gunny, Panatime and Bosophorus.

Yeah I have been looking at alot of the ones you mentioned. I have 2 straps coming from Panatime. I'll look up some of those others you mentioned.
I want to buy really thick straps.... I like color so i am interested in straps other than the browns and rusts.

You should give a try on C&B Straps, AKA Jose Maria Straps, from Spain.

Great quality for a very reasonable price.

Chris... thanks for stacking those straps ! that's GREAT ! first time I have had a chance to see the real differences in the thickness. That helps alot.

Bizi.... thanks for the pic. the finish on the strap is awesome.... I hope they are thick... I'll have a look.
I like at least a 5mm strap.

I wish there was somewhere in the USA I could walk in and just buy a nice fat strap.... but I guess what I am looking for is only available online.

You like it in the pics, but wait 'till you get a really thick fat one. Extremely thick straps tend to be extremely uncomfortable to put on and off the the wrist. It's hard to bend the strap enough to get through the first fixed keeper. Especially if it's a very soft leather. 5mm is just about right.
We're more or less all in the same boat with the strap purchasing situation, I think most members buy online. There are many threads with strap combos, here's one with more than a 1000 pages:

Tried lots of maker and my favorite is kostas and kyros. Thick and comfortable of course [emoji6]

I personally prefer to customize all of mine to double hornback alligator straps. Gives it the really beautiful exotic look and because of the texture of the double hornback design, it is thicker and looks more special compared to a plain flat strap (just my preference though!) I deal with bond straps over at rwg, here's the one that is being made for my pam 511, coming in chocolate brown :

YES COMFY ! I can see what you are talking about ! The double hornback gator really does look thicker at the edges and more exotic as well.
I am getting a ostrich leg strap made from Bond right now.... I think maybe I will add a double hornback gator to my order as well !
