Good day.

Assuming you have the correct lug width, are the straps from a luminor watch interchangeable with the rad's?
Perhaps without the tubes?

Thanks in advance

Depends on the Luminor and the Rad,
if they are bot 47ers, it works.

luminor = 24mm

rad = 26-27mm

so no, you cannot put a rad strap on a luminor.
and if you put a luminor strap on a rad I think it'll look small and bad.

TB is saying if you have a 47mm PAM, like a 6152/4 or something, then they
also use the 26mm.

You should be able to use the straps from rads on Luminors no problem if you take the tubes out.
All the straps I've made for my 24mm watches are actually 26-27mm as I think it looks better than the skinny 24mm. You can use the bigger, nicer buckles with them and it also holds the watch better into place, not that much wobbling on those big submersibles like the 243.
If it's made out of 100% good leather then it should be flexible enough, you don't need to make an ugly tapered cut into it. What I do is hit it gently with a rubber mallet on the sides in the lug area so it will compress to 24mm without noticeable tapering. Sometimes I use clamps to slowly compress them without getting wrinkles.
All these I've made are 26-27 mm and I can take them off the 24mm lugs, flex them a while to stretch them back to 26mm and put them on Rads http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/building-strap-for-127179?t=127179
Of course with time some wear will show in the lug area if worn on 24mm.

Perfect.
Thanks allot guys.
I am very grateful I found this board about six months ago. Awesome group.
Have always been a watch lover and bought an auth 005 back in 2007 never thinking I would own many great pieces bc of the obvious expense.
SInce finding you guys have acquired a few pams including a 288 chrono last week with the authentic croc strap from Sead (great guy), a couple of rolies including a shark from BK and a DSSD that is with Darthalex now, and an AP diver v3.
And several straps along the way.
All purchases thanks to the recommendations of the people here.
I'll tell you wearing many of these great watches gives me about 98% of the satisfaction of wearing my 005.

Thanks again.
