Hello everyone!

Im fairly new here and would like to get a few clarifications. Ive read Ale's panerai guides and would still like to get some info on the series differences. Ive read that H series (2005) was when they started to use a different movement marking and engravings, etc. and if im correct it is when they started to use pre v hands again.

Now my question is was there any changes after the H series to the present series? Im asking coz i ordered a noob N v3 111 and compared it with my friend's gen 111 (H series) and found out that the lugs wre different. Also i found out through the diff threads that the crown they used for H series wre still the "fat" crowns and it ddnt have the cg lever roller yet.

But what I cant find is about the lug differences, Just wanted to get clarifications on this.

Here's a pic for reference. Top is rep

As OP does not publish such differences in public (most likely to protect against copying), it would just be basing on photos available in the internet. It does seem like the H-series PAM111 used cases which have longer lug horns compared to the N-series versions from what I can tell. Then again, it's not a definite statement. For rollers in the lever, it appears in the L-series onwards, again from researching on the internet.

Old OP cases before 2005 were a bit different from new cases, as you can see clearly by your pics. New lugs are fatter and shorter
From K-series onwards the lever comes with Roller and the crown is "Slim" like H maker and KW crown.

As you can see, the gen you are showing has long and thinner lugs, No roller and "Fat" crown
The rep you are showing has inaccurate crown as all Noob reps, because in a N-series should be "slim"

Just that

Got it. Just the info I was trying to find out. I thought that the case I got was completely wrong, I mean I know its a rep but I was a bit surprised the difference was that huge. Now it does makes sense. Thanks ALE for the clarification!

That's one serious body of work from ALE and Klockis. An excellent read.

Roller, slim crown and new tube from last watches of J-series. J-series is transitional, you can find both case sets, old and new.
