PAM quality questions - compare to gen

Sorry if these questions have been asked 1000 times...I am very new to this...
How does a top quality rep PAM 243 compare to the gen in terms of weight, feel, durability etc.? Can I wear this watch daily (office job) for a couple years? What about TD claims of >30m water resistance? Seems like a bogus claim...but I could be way off. Thanks for everybody's help!

Very close indeed, weight is close to perfect and it's a tough bugger.

Yes, it's quite suitable for daily wear but trust me, give a couple of months and you will have several to chose from.

Chances are it will be but always have it tested for water resistance before getting it wet. Any mall "watchstation" style booth can test for water resistance. I'm sure I don't have to tell you that a Panerai dealer is not as good choice of place to have that done

And you are correct, you didn't have to tell me about steering away from Panerai dealers...but it's always a good reminder and one I will certainly heed!!

Yes, ALE, I am beginning to get the feeling that this is going to be VERY addicting and cause great harm to my finances :sinking:
