PAM or PAN?

Being new to Panerai, I dont understand how it is Pam or Pan. anyone have a clue?

well you know, Pam is a real name kinda like Rollie, another real name. I never knew a girl named Pan. Except for Peter Pan and he was a guy..I think..no he was a fairy. :shock: :lol:

That is how they label thier models IE pam036, pam127 and so on.
