PAM noob needs help. Which one's more accurate?

I'm a PAM noob, thought i'd get one and try out.

So far, it's been overwhelming! But thankfully, i've managed to narrow down my choices into 2 models.

Which of these are more accurate out of the box from a dealer? or is DSN better?

PAM 123 or PAM 217?

Both are lefty watches. And i've listed the pros and cons:

123 PROS:
Deployment clasp
Automatic
Date indicator

123 CONS:
Pricier (more than twice of the 217)
Cluttered dial - power reserve, date with cyclops and the 'Automatic'
Not available from my dealer of choice (at least not at the website)

217 PROS:
Cost effective ($88 with shipping)
Clean dial - i believe that's the appeal of PAMs.

217 CONS:
Retails for much higher than the 123, less believable.
No date
Buckle - easily fixed, but at what cost?

I'm more partial to the 217. But accuracy is the dealbreaker here.

Any input is much appreciated!!

Honestly if you are going to get one to try out, have you looked at the H-factory pams? They are on another level of accuracy compared to what else is out there, especially when you factor in price.

If you haven't, take a look at the 005, 026k, 177M, 318L? From looking at your pro's I think you would like any of those.

I wouldn't get too hung up on the strap/clasp either, one of the big pam appeals is changing your straps. You can get a very nice strap with buckle aftermarket for under $100.

H factory?

Those models are nice but, i picked those 2 because of the following (non-negotiable) features:

1) Lefty watches (rules out the other models)
2) Seconds indicator
3) SS casing instead of PVD (ruling out the 026k)

of course i'm basing this on what i see at paneraisource.com, i could easily have missed out a lefty model somewhere.

where can i see a selection of H factory reps? who can i get them from? or how can i identify them, if they are available from our TDs?

like i said, i'm a total PAM-noob (pamoob? panoob?)

I wear my watch on the right wrist. I never wind it on my wrist but I can promise that the 'Righty' watches feel more comfortable on my right wrist.

Considering that your wrist is the nearest joint to the watch, it has always seemed stupid to me to have a crown or indeed the guard restricting your movement.

Good luck.
