I have been trying to find a thread on this topic, not sure if one has been made...are there any mods to increase the tension on the lever/crown? I don't know how other reps are, but mine doesn't really 'snap' into place, it just kind of nudges the crown on it's way in lol.

I read about the hot glue mod, but that doesn't seem to fix this problem.

Also, I have a 312, has anyone been able to waterproof this watch? Does the lever snap help?

Shouldn't Water resistance just involve greasing the gaskets? I'm sure it can be done quite easily.

Waterproofness of a watch depends how the crown is locked:
-either the crown is screwed to the tube/caseset (Rolex and most other brands)
-or it is maintained "stuck" to the gasket and tube by the lever of the CG for the Panerai.

I like a nice "tight" snap on my pam cg's if I am swimming with them. If I feel it is too loose I will add extra gaskets :)
