I haven't bought a rep in about 7 years, as I used reps to see if I liked a gen watch before I took the plunge. I was ready for the plunge again. I just recently bought a KW 388 V2 in the sales section. (Great sale, no issues.)

I've had the watch for a little under a week, and I notice it shifted strangely as I was sitting on the couch today. I don't know what made me take the watch off...but when I did, I noticed one of the screws that hold the band on was missing. Crap.

The screw was there when I bought the watch. What the hell happened?

I've searched through the forum for "Panerai, screw" "Panerai, 388, screw" "lug screw" "strap screw" and "KW, screw"

I saw some references to the V1 having this issue, but from what I read this should have been fixed in V2.

I didn't see any solutions, or path toward replacement screws within the topics I read. Does anyone have a direction/link to replacements?

Thanks!

The issue with the V1 screws was that they were easily deformed and sometimes either were a chore to remove or impossible to lock. That was fixed in the V2, with the improved construction of the lug bars. You can get a replacement set from Panatime, or your TD, whichever is more convenient for you.

Yeah, these screws are a PITA. They need to have blue locktite on them to keep them safe. If a member can't hook you up with one, contact a dealer and ask for them. I would imagine you might need to buy the screws and bars as a set. You could probably put the old screws on M2M to get some money back and help someone else with the same problem. You're not alone so I would think it shouldn't be a huge issue to get parts once everyone is back from CNY holidays (in 2 weeks?).
