Hello everyone, I have this rep Panerai from china back in around 2009.

Looking up the OP 6541 obviously the case back is not correct.

Also, the crystal originally on this piece was beautiful, had a nice blue tint to it, however I had a bunch of my watches at service and the guy broke the crystal, so he replaced it with the crystal in the picture, it looks really bad, a huge bubble crystal.

If anyone can help me identify what this is, and how I might be able to source a crystal that will fit better.

Thank you all, apologies if I didn't follow protocol on this post, this is only my 1st post other than my "hello" post.

All Luminor cases 44 mm use the same crystal, but yours looks like a cheap fantasy rep, I don't know if a standard PAM crystal would fit.

What does fantasy rep mean? I used to have this watch in gen but sold it in 08 during some rough times, a friend got this in shanghai for me.. it looked a lot better with the original crystal. I found a crystal on ebay says it fits 44mm luninor only $30 shipped from HK.. think its worth a shot? Even says it comes with blue AR coating.

How hard to install a crystal? Ive never been past pulling the back on this.

A fantasy is a rep that does not exist in gen but is inspired by gen.

I might be wrong, but I don't recall any Panerai model with brushed case, silver hands, no date, no seconds subdial and an automatic movement.
The movement on your rep is auto-winding as the caseback says, isnt'it?
Gen PAMs usually have colorless AR also, not blue.

Anyway, the CG and case shape tell me you have a cheap and probably old rep. You can try and order that crystal and see if it will fit, but you can have a way better new one for 200 to 300 usd. It's more money, I know, but I think you won't regret spending it. :)

^^^ What kilo said. Yours is a fantasy, cheap rep (no pun intended).

Take a look at a 104 and try to save some money on it, its really a SUPER REP!

I've posted a link from Intime since Ryan has a very well usable webpage, but any of the TD-s can get you this watch.
Good luck, reps nowadays are waaaay better than the one you have.

Awesomeness thank you both for responding. The one I posted is 5 years old and I probably paid $50. I have a gen ferrari panerai so I knew as it sat it was no way close, but I figured it might be worth a cheap crystal to bring it back a little, it looked pretty cool before this weird convex crystal it has now.

Also wondering I found a site where reps are like $100 not the 3 or 400 I see with the TD. they ship directly from mainland china, so do I have a possible good source and maybe I should send them some models and ask for QC pics or should I only deal with TD?

So far no one that I am aware reported to be able to buy the same reps sold by our TDs at a noticeably lower price. All those who tried reported being scammed instead, either because they received a watch not as described or they got nothing at all.
I agree reps are becoming quite expensive, esp. some models, but I would not risk loosing all my money trying to save 100 usd.

Same reply I posted today in another thread :)

You can make with your money as you want, of course
As far as I can see you were here asking for advice
Above advices are clear. Stick to TD here

I assure you you will not get a rep the same as offered by our TD significantly less expensive
That said : UP TO YOU
Anyway if you are able of getting good reps for 100$, obviously you are losing your time in this forum

BTW- Another advice: don't spend more money in your current FANTASY replica

Thank you I cant wait to order some of the pams suggested and have been watching the m2m sales closely too.

I appreciate all the advice on my current reps too, I have a few other brands and mostly old reps that I will post about in other sections too.

I know they might be fantasy but I own them so when I can spend 20-40 here or there to keep them in rotation I will.

My oldest reps are rado and porsche design (iwc) and are from 2001 still ticking and in rotation.
