PAM-heads opinion on a Gen PAM Submersible... feedback appreciated

Hi All,

Wanted to ask all of your opinions here for the best submersible from Pam as it relates to my budget.. I have an opportunity to spend some money this weekend with a budget of about $10k for a new PAM I prefer to spend less if I could. I have the 243 and 389 reps and love them equally the same..

If you have the opportunity to buy a Gen PAM Sub which would you choose?? A 243, 305, 389? or is there any other sub in my price range that would be a better choice? This will be my 2nd Gen purchase and i'd like to make it a good one.. I bought the gen 590 on impulse and have been deliberating on selling it as I prefer my reps! LOL... i may sell it to fund a Gen 512 in the future ;-)

Sometimes i feel that the reps are so good nowadays that I should save the money BUT i really want a PAM sub that I can use for a daily beater and to surf and dive with.. (im located in SoCal)..

Anyways your opinions matter! would be great to hear your thoughts!

Congrats, oh fortunate one!
I love the look of the 243, but I don't like the cyclops and I prefer 47 over 44mm.
I have the 389 rep but I love the gen 305.
Are you set on a PAM? What about a Ploprof 1200? I think it puts the PAMs to shame in the sub department.

Most of the sub reps are so good I'd be hesitant to pay for the gen. If it were me I'd get a good rep of the sub I want, have a local watchsmith pressure test it and call it a day (maybe a relume at most if I really felt strongly about it).
If you're determined to buy a gen Pam sub I'd go with the 389 as that's the one I like the most. But that's just me.

Perhaps can consider Pam87 which will be different as it has a blue dial

Buy a rep 243. For surfing and diving, get a Seiko dive watch. ......If you lose that, you aren't out much.

Invest all the money you save and reap the benefits in the years to come.

Yes, it's no longer available in OP now... only option is to try the 2nd hand market for this Pam 087.
