Hey all,

Saw that a dealer had the Noob version 026K (v3) in stock, so I jumped at the chance (last I'd heard everyone was out of stock) and purchased it. Now that I've recieved QC pictures, I'm not so sure it's a Noob v3 after all. They're claiming that it's a "new Noob batch, with a lighter pvd color", but I have a feeling it's just an H-fac v2.

To my knowledge, the Noob v3 has:

-darker pvd coating
-when not glowing, has whiter (less yellow) lume
-different crown guard (though I'm a rollie guy, so I have a harder time identifying differences here)
-better engraved (more recessed) run/serial number on caseback

Can anyone who's owned one/both help me identify what this is?!

CG looks noob to me, color is darker than H-fac. Maybe it's really a new batch?

HFactory case has a better pencil-like tint. Defenitely not a HF. I should go for the HF ;)

Crown guard is Noob, without any doubt. But I'm not sure if it's a V3. V3 is pencil lead, very very nice. Slightly darker than HF but clearer than older versions. Imho this is a V2.

Wasn't David working on a 26k? He recently finished a 26b.

Hey whoopy, i think we're ordering from the same TD, and I just received my watch today. Everyhing looks great apart from a slight inconsistency in color on the crownguard compared to the watch base, which can be very obvious from an angle (especially looking at it from the back). Both the TD and I were under the impression that it was due to lighting, but it seems like the CG and watch base are of two different materials. Not sure if this is a known issue.

Have to say though, the watch still looks great.

I have the same variation of color by the crown guard. Ordered from the same dealer.

So it's not a matter of lighting in QC pics?

I had a v1 noob 026 and although it was incredibly well made I could not get into it's very black case color. Same goes for the Noob 360. I have an h factory v3 360 and think the case color is much closer to gen. However I hate the H factory CG. If Noob could attain the more grayish color of the gen they would really have something. I did read that the latest batch of noob 360's had a more gray color. Has anyone bought one recently?
