PAM deployant buckle gen vs rep

Hi all,

Is there an easy method to determine of a PAM deployant buckle is a gen?

I dont believe there is a great way to tell on the older deployants. The newer style has PANERAI engraved on the backside of the latch clasp, but I have seen some REP deployants that have this feature too. The best way I have found is looking at the screw heads and logos. The gens tend to be made cleaner.

There are some really good reps being made. I would be curious to hear some of the experts opinions.

After searching and searching for information on gen vs. rep Panerai deployant buckles, I just gave up.

I bit the bullet and bought a gen buckle and did the analysis myself.

In summary, stop buying rep buckles. They're terrible.

You obviously didn't read my guide.

The gens are superior and you can get them on eBay for about $125.

You just have to keep browsing eBay. There are none up there right now, but have been in the past.

Otherwise take a look at the updated REP(3) first class reps on Amazon. I updated my personal recommendations for these.
