No responses, huh? I’d love to see this detailed as well!

Is it the same as on a gen? If I find a video on removing a gen bezel, should it be relatively similar on a vsf?

Do you know which factory? I can only speak to the first generation Noob, but the bezel screwed in and there was a thin silicone gasket between the crystal and bezel. To remove, it was like twisting off the caseback and then removing the crystal. Other versions or other factories may have used a different methodology ...

Personally, I was thinking about vsf submersible models but any info imo is great. It all comes in handy sooner or later and the more knowledge I think I have, the more willing I have to venture in to new projects. But that is an awesome start.

I would love to know how to remove the besel on a submersible model though. I ask having done no research. As I get closer, I am sure I’m going to start poking around.

On the submersibles, it should just pop off from the case and then reassembled with a pressure fitting onto the retainer ring. “Should” being the key word there haha

Klaus Klum nalomb I sense a “but” that was left out for Some dramatic affect or something.

eta: and should it be easily interchangeable with a gen bezel?

Well it’s ceramic — it’s very brittle. Anything can happen. I’ve never owned or played around with a ceramic sub bezel, so can’t comment on the that particular process.

My gut is that it’s not going to be much different from a stainless or titanium bezel, but I’d hate for it to go awry. They make little spatula tools that help pop off bezels — pretty generic and ubiquitous. I’d get a good quality one of those and hold my breath.

My fear wouldn’t be that the material might shatter under the force — but rather that there are hairline cracks you don’t (and probably can’t) see that cause the bezel to fall apart. I’d do some practice on a steel or titanium one first, then play the risk/reward game on the ceramic one ...

nalomb ghank you. I feel much better armed with information as opposed to being blissfully ignorant and destroying brand new parts. Thanks man.
